El Rancho de Apache Mesa is a 1400 acre deeded ranch with a 160 acre BLM parcel in its center. This scenic rancho has mesa top gramma grass pastures, stock dams collecting run off water, cedar & pinon covered arroyos and deep ponderosa treed canyons. Its been used as a cow calf and a horse operation in the past, the perimeter has good fences too! You'll find 5 stock dams, one with a solar subsurface pump. There is lots of feed on the ranch, hasn't been grazed for several years! The Headquarters site is solar w/power coming from 3 solar panel banks! The panels power the barn, bath house & water wells. The Hq site boasts a 4 stall red barn w/apartment built in 2018. The barns living quarters has a bedroom upstairs & bath & kitchen on the main floor & also a sauna which could be converted into a barnaminium, you decide? ! A very old rehabilitated stone building next door has been turned into a one room bunk house that has running water. There is a small stone house close to the stables that has been used as a tack room & office. About a half mile north is a large metal equipment storage building which has its own water well. Terrain on this ranch is level mesa tops, deep canyons, and you'll find an -160 acre grazing bench off the NE corner. There are several springs in the bottom of the canyons & another spring in an area just below the Hq site. Grasses are predominately native grammas, sacatone, side oats, etc. Tree cover is juniper, pinon and lots of tall ponderosa pine. The ranch should carry 35 - 40 a.u.'s year round easily. Native wildlife abounds w/bear, deer, big cats and recent reports of elk on the ranch this past winter. No hunt permits exist but could be applied for!
